Island of the Gods
A province of Indonesia, the island of Bali remains one of the world's top tourist destinations thanks to its beaches, diving spots, and resorts. Take a trip to Bali to discover the island's smiling and famously hospitable locals--perhaps the biggest treasure of this tropical paradise. A Bali tour uncovers some of the world's best surfing spots, as well as a deeply spiritual local culture and globally significant archeological attractions.

Gili Islands, an archipelago of three small islands that caters exclusively to tourists, sits just off the coast of Lombok. The region features lush forests, sandy beaches, and blue seas complete with tourist-focused amenities, such as restaurants, pools, spas, and tour group companies. Many people come to enjoy the marine life and coral formations here. Motorized vehicles are banned on the islands, so look for alternative travel methods like a horse-drawn carriage called a cidomo.
