Longreach

Longreach is a town in Central West Queensland, Australia approximately 700km from the coast, west of Rockhampton. Get out of town with these interesting Longreach side-trips: Barcaldine (Australian Workers Heritage Centre & Tree of Knowledge Memorial). There's much more to do: see the interesting displays at Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame and Outback Heritage Centre, head outdoors with Spirit of the Outback, get engrossed in the history at Langenbaker House, and contemplate the long history of Longreach Powerhouse and Historical Museum.
