Considered a cultural, artistic, and architectural jewel of Italy, Florence is the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance.
Florence Academy of Fine Arts and Gallerie Degli Uffizi will appeal to museum buffs. Step off the beaten path and head to Pitti Palace and The Baptistery of St. John. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Florence: Castello del Trebbio (in Santa Brigida), Siena (Duomo di Siena & Piazza del Campo) and Tenuta Casanova (in Castellina In Chianti).
