Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.
Change things up with a short trip to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary in Brighton (about 30 minutes away). The adventure continues: get to know the fascinating history of Battery Point Sculpture Trail, see the interesting displays at Mawson's Hut Replica Museum, get curious at Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, and take in nature's colorful creations at Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens.
