Founded in the 10th century as a Viking fishing village, Copenhagen has morphed into the cultural, political, and economic powerhouse of the country.
Rosenborg Castle and Nyhavn are good opportunities to explore the local culture. There's still lots to do: stop by National Gallery of Denmark, examine the collection at National Museum of Denmark, tour the water at your own pace with GoBoat, and take a stroll through Christiania.
