Surfing remains the main reason to take a trip to Tamarindo, as the beachside town is mostly known for its excellent waves.
On the 24th (Fri), kick back and relax at Tamarindo Beach. Keep things going the next day: stroll through Monkey Park, see majestic marine mammals with a dolphin and whale watching tour, and then find something for the whole family at Black Stallion Eco Park & Estates.

Montreal, Canada to Tamarindo is an approximately 9.5-hour flight. You can also drive. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 1 hour traveling from Montreal to Tamarindo. In December, Tamarindo is much hotter than Montreal - with highs of 32°C and lows of 32°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 25th (Sat) early enough to go by car to Monteverde.
