Often referred to as "The Paris of the North," Riga offers thriving nightlife and some of the best collections of Art Nouveau architecture in Europe.
Visit House of the Black Heads and Latvian Ethnographic Open Air Museum for their historical value. Take a break from the city and head to Twenty Five Wolves and Vecaki Beach. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Riga: Bauska Town Hall (in Bauska) and Rundāle Palace (in Pilsrundale). On the 27th (Mon), contemplate the long history of Jurmalas Globe and then get outside with Jurmala Beach. On the 29th (Wed), explore the historical opulence of The Castle of the Livonian order, kick back and relax at Ventspils Beach, and then see the interesting displays at Piejuras Brivdabas Muzejs. On the 30th (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Edole Castle, look for all kinds of wild species at Jaunstuci Murksku Audzetava, and then examine the collection at Ventspils Creativity House Planetarium and Observatory.

On the 1st (Fri), get engrossed in the history at Liepaja Museum, steep yourself in history at Karosta Prison, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Nicholas Orthodox Sea Cathedral, and finally steep yourself in history at Northern Forts. On the 2nd (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: get outside with Jurmalciems beach, identify plant and animal life at Pape Nature Park, and then take in the spiritual surroundings of Holy Trinity Cathedral.
