Gessate is a comune (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Milan in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 25km northeast of Milan.Gessate borders the following municipalities: Cambiago, Masate, Pessano con Bornago, Inzago, Gorgonzola and Bellinzago Lombardo.Gessate hosts the easternmost terminus of Milan Metro (Line 2, Gessate branch). Get a sense of the local culture at Santuario di Santa Maria Ad Fontem and Galleria Campari. Castello Borromeo and Castello di San Colombano will appeal to history buffs. Venture out of the city with trips to Golf Club Le Rovedine (in Segrate) and Castello Mediceo (in Melegnano).
