A history spanning over a thousand years, vibrant nightlife, and a mix of Georgian and modern architecture make Dublin a popular European tourist destination.
Get some historical perspective at Kilmainham Gaol and Trinity College Dublin. Museum-lovers will appreciate Glasnevin Cemetery Museum and Croke Park Stadium Tour & GAA Museum. Take a break from Dublin with a short trip to Portmarnock Beach in Portmarnock, about 30 minutes away. There's much more to do: take a stroll through Temple Bar, tour the pleasant surroundings at St. Stephen's Green, indulge your thirst for a good beer at Guinness Storehouse, and admire the striking features of St. Michan's Church.

Straddling the River Moy near Ireland's northern Atlantic coast, the town of Ballina has roots dating as far back as 1375.
On the 11th (Sun), enjoy the sand and surf at Mulranny Strand, then tour the pleasant surroundings at The Great Western Greenway, and then see the interesting displays at Fr. Peyton C.S.C. Memorial Centre. On the 12th (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: enjoy the sand and surf at Carrowmore Beach and then stroll through Ross Beach.

Continuously inhabited since the Neolithic period, Killarney draws visitors with its picturesque natural scenery, fine restaurants, and traditional pubs.
Your itinerary includes some good beach time at The Nuns Beach and Barleycove Beach. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Killarney National Park and The WhiteHouse Gallery. Take a break from Killarney with a short trip to Blarney Castle & Gardens in Blarney, about 1:40 hours away. There's still lots to do: explore the historical opulence of Ross Castle.
