Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Let the collections at Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum and The National Museum of Finland capture your imagination. Visit Kallio Church and Cathedral of Porvoo for their historical value. Venture out of the city with trips to Porvoo Old Town (in Porvoo) and Nuuksio National Park (in Espoo). There's lots more to do: explore the world behind art at Kansallisgalleria, learn more about the world around you at Natural History Museum (Luonnontieteellinen Museo), glide peacefully along the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area, and wander the streets of Katajanokka.
