Paris of the North

Often referred to as "The Paris of the North," Riga offers thriving nightlife and some of the best collections of Art Nouveau architecture in Europe.

A historic city with its eye firmly on the future, Tallinn blends medieval fortifications, gleaming skyscrapers, and charming boutiques with a spattering of Soviet relics.
Start off your visit on the 26th (Thu): pause for some serene contemplation at Peapiiskopi Kirik, then take a stroll through Tallinn Old Town, then don't miss a visit to Tallinna Raekoja Plats, and finally examine the collection at Lennusadam Seaplane Harbour. Keep things going the next day: contemplate the long history of Toompea Hill, take in the spiritual surroundings of Aleksander Nevski Katedraali, and then get a dose of the wild on Traveller Tours.

As the capital and largest city of Belarus, Minsk represents a cultural center full of churches, libraries, museums, and theatres.
On the 28th (Sat), learn about all things military at Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War, walk around Victory Park, head outdoors with Trinity Hill, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Archangel Mikhail, then pause for some serene contemplation at Church of Saints Simon and Helena, and finally get in on the family fun at Gorky Central Park.
