A city famed for its underground music scene, Bergen also serves as the gateway to the fjords of Norway's western coastline.

Venture out of the city with trips to Vossevangen (Vangsvatnet & Skydive Voss), Voss Folkemuseum (in Voss Municipality) and Voss Active (in Skulestadmo). Spend the 2nd (Wed) exploring at Hardangerfjord. There's still lots to do: get to know the fascinating history of Bryggen, take in the awesome beauty at Mount Floyen and the Funicular, get engrossed in the history at Hanseatic Museum and Schøtstuene, and take in the dramatic scenery at Fossen Bratte.
