Prepare for much colder weather when traveling from Dubai in March: high temperatures in Geneva hover around 13°C and lows are around 1°C. Nestled between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz in the heart of the Jungfrau region, Interlaken became popular for its proximity to the mountains and lakes of the Bernese Oberland region.
You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Parasailing & Paragliding and Swiss Mountain Market Unique Regional Souvenirs. Go for a jaunt from Interlaken to Brienz to see Axalp about 40 minutes away. Drive from Geneva to Interlaken in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or do a combination of train and bus. In March in Interlaken, expect temperatures between 12°C during the day and 0°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 1st (Sun) early enough to go by car to Zurich.

Big Small Town

The financial hub of Switzerland, Zurich is most often associated with money and banks.
Kids will enjoy Lake Zurich and Old Town. Get out of town with these interesting Zurich side-trips: Lucerne (Biosphaere Entlebuch & Chapel Bridge). There's lots more to do: wander the streets of Bahnhofstrasse, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Grossmunster, admire the striking features of Fraumünster Church, and get to know the resident critters at Zoo Zurich.

Getting from Interlaken to Zurich by car takes about 2 hours. Other options: take a train. In April in Zurich, expect temperatures between 17°C during the day and 5°C at night. On the 4th (Wed), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel back home.
