Kuta

Formerly a sleepy fishing village, the beach resort town of Kuta now represents one of Indonesia's most popular tourist destinations.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Balangan Beach and Zipline. Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Museum PASIFIKA and World of Magic. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Kuta: Ungasan (Blue Point Beach, Melasti Beach, &more) and The Nest Beachside Spa (in Sanur). There's lots more to do: kick back and relax at Geger Beach Nusa Dua Bali, stroll through Jimbaran Beach, and make a trip to Nakula Sahadewa Statue.

Copenhagen, Denmark to Kuta is an approximately 19.5-hour flight. You'll lose 7 hours traveling from Copenhagen to Kuta due to the time zone difference. A snaking coastline and quaint, sleepy fishing villages characterize Amed, a stretch of shorefront with seven villages in Bali's east.
Start off your visit on the 27th (Fri): steep yourself in history at Ujung Water Palace, then take in nature's colorful creations at Taman Tirtagangga, and then see the vivid underwater world at USS Liberty Shipwreck. On the 28th (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Lempuyang Temple, enjoy the sand and surf at Jemeluk Beach, and then identify plant and animal life at Wildlife Areas.

Traveling by car from Kuta to Amed takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. Traveling from Kuta in August, Amed is a bit cooler at night with lows of 24°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 28th (Sat) so you can drive to Tegalalang.
