    In the industrial area of Utrecht are the botanical gardens. A viraty of special plants that makes it an Oasis and a peacefull area. Also visit the butterfly area and see the spiecies around you...  more »

    The gardens are beautiful and very large. The butterfly sanctuary is perhaps the most spectacular part of it. Leave aside about 2 hours at least for a visit. The cafe in the garden is open until after closing time and you can enjoy a drink at the gardens once they close.

    Great place for a wander. Nicely done different areas including tropical green houses and several places to spot interesting animals. They have poisonous frogs on display, as well as and a bee colony and a so called insect hotel for solitary bees and bugs. Plenty of nice places to have a sit and let your thoughts go for a bit.
