Panorama Mesdag, a large cylindrical painting of a seaside town, gives the viewer an impression of being inside the landscape. Stand atop a sand dune and observe villagers at work, fishing boats docked on the seashore, and houses in the distance. Along with the realistic painting style, the feel of the place is augmented by the sand and beach objects placed below the painting on hilly terrain, making the illusion more striking. The piece was completed in 1881 by Mesdag, his wife, and his student painters. The whole story of this place is amazing and saving it from ruin was a wonderful thing. I could have stayed all afternoon but for my stomach! It took a while for me to be able to move around freely without feeling a bit sick. Not throwing up sick but my eye was getting ‘confusing’ information, particularly when I moved. If when you sit on a train and another close by, parallel train sets off moving and your stomach/brain goes funny thinking you are the one moving, then you’ll know exactly what I mean. Very enjoyable and very realistic.

Do go to this place if you are into arts and paintings. Entry is €10. This is a 360° painting of The Beach at Hague from an artist's view. And it's very beautiful and interesting as it gives an illusion that you are standing on the beach. It's on the street which leads you to Peace Palace or International Court of Justice. So if you are heading from the Parliament building then inwiykd suggest first see this and then head to Peace Palace.
