St. John's Cathedral is a prime example of Gothic architecture. Built from 1220 to 1530, this Catholic church has operated as a place of worship for multiple denominations over the years. The church has undergone three rounds of restorations, the most recent finishing in 2010. Admire the 25 angel statues that were added, including one dressed in jeans and holding a mobile phone. Check out the whimsical creatures sitting on the outside arches! Each of the lower platforms that holds a statue of a saint are also individually unique such as one looking like he is crawling out of the church. Inside is awe-inspiring and must be experienced for yourself.
