Gain an extensive, sweeping vista at John-Suwan Viewpoint, one of the island's most photographed scenes. Named after two friends—John and Suwan—who discovered this viewpoint, the spot offers sights of Chalok Baan Kao Bay and Thian Og Bay, their two beaches curling into one another. It's a short hike (about 15 minutes) from Chalok Baan Kao Beach to the viewpoint on the mountain ridge. It's a bit of a hike through some steep terrain BUT the view. Breathless. Put your hiking boots on go when the sun is not beaming down and the reward when you get to the drop awaits. more »

Great view point! Only takes about 15/20mins max to get to the top but beware is a little challenging wear suitable footwear!! There a ropes along the way to help you but gives you a great view of the island and open ocean. Little lady at the bottom will charge you 50baht but bit of advice you can haggle this, we met a girl on the way same time as us and got 3 people for 100baht. Well worth the view!

Nice view. Lady at bottom is robbing everyone of 50thb to get on to the 5 minute hike path. Says the Freedom Resort owns the property and she collects for them. Sounds kinda bull. Go before 9am to avoid fee
