Founded in 1836, the family-owned Swiss luxury confectionery opened this shop in 1859. The store offers pralines and truffles made from Swiss chocolate, among many other desserts, including their flagship macaroons, of which they produce approximately 650 kg (1,430 lb) daily. Purchase boxed candy in decorative tins or and send treats to others. Staff in the cafe and bakery speak English, so you may direct any questions you have to them. First time in Switzerland, and to say our experience was great would be an understatement! I want to give this restaurant 4.5 stars only because a few breakfast items were a little burnt. Aside from that though; I had a Mozart coffee and the waffle and it was wonderful — highly recommended. The price is high but worth it. My wife and kids are the dessert experts and they were in awe of the selection and atmosphere.

I had a great experience here. I heard the chocolate here was fantastic, so I decided to check it out. The chocolate drinks were recommended to me, and the caramelito did not disappoint. I also had muesli here that was quite nice. And of course the chocolates. So many to choose from, and whatever you choose, you will not be disappointed. A must stop when in Zurich.
