Trip Planner: Europe / Switzerland / Swiss Alps / Canton of Valais / Zermatt / Matterhorn Glacier Paradise
Discover Switzerland's iconic winter wonderland by visiting Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, the highest cable car station in the Alps. Europe's highest viewing platform, the station sits 3,800 m (12,500 ft) above sea level and provides unbeatable views of the surrounding mountains peaks and glaciers. Over half a million visitors complete the multi-stage cable car journey each year, lured by the ski area's famous slopes and trails. If you get tired of taking in those sweeping views from the comfort of the summit's observation platform, try to conquer one of the region's 4,000 m (13,100 ft) peaks on a guided adventure with expert mountaineers. Save time by booking your excursion tickets and ski passes online. Matterhorn Glacier Paradise Reviews
This is a must when in Zermatt. Go to the very top, take pictures, stay impressed. Everything is perfectly organised, not too crowded due to current shaky Covid situation. The trip to the top... more »
Amazing place at over 12,000 feet and being the longest and highest cable car in the world you have to ask how have they done it? It takes around an hour to get to the top but it is breath taking... more »
This is a review of the policies and not of the experience since we didn’t get a chance to take the ride. Please be aware that they won’t refund your tickets if the ride isn’t running due to weather conditions. So best to wait to purchase tickets until the day you are planning to take the ride. We were told that purchased tickets are valid for 10 days but in our case, we just had 1 day to spend in Zermatt. Would have been great if this policy was more prominent on the website while purchasing tickets.
One of the most beautiful places in earth. Visited in the winter but I hear the summer is just as good. I came as an experienced skier and was blown away at the terrain. If you are a beginner you may have a bad time... Be prepared for very steep and icy conditions. You don't have to ski tho. You can ride the gondola all the way to the top without snow riding equipment. The lifts are super nice, with some even having warmed seats!! Highly recommend checking this place out!
