Staff was very welcoming. Admission fees are very reasonable. Kids loved the place with so many different animals. I’ve never seen so many butterflies in one place. It’s best to avoid Saturdays when..... more »

Great place with kids. They were actually bored quite quickly with the butterflies but loved the petting zoo and the playground. The dark dome with the bats is pretty impressive too.

Great small family-friendly zoo with 3 main parts: butterflies, dark for night-time animals (walk a second time to see animals hidden the first time) and jungle (based on a Central American nature reserve Papiliorama protects). There is also playground, petting zoo, Swiss butterflies and insects tent, natural areas, restaurant and picnic area. Excellent labelling in German, French and English -- extremely informative , including about the endangered species bred here, conservation and info on probably every Swiss conservation organization.
