Stortorget (Swedish: [ˈstûːˌʈɔrjɛt], "the Grand Square") is a public square in Gamla Stan, the old town in central Stockholm, Sweden. It is the oldest square in Stockholm, the historical centre on which the medieval urban conglomeration gradually came into being. Today, the square is frequented by tens of thousands of tourists annually, and is occasionally the scene for demonstrations and performances. Beautiful area in the city with cobbled narrow streets and interesting shops and restaurants. Great to walk around in spring and summer. more »
Its really nice but a bit touristy, feels like an desert style square where after evening there is not much to do (like Cite in Paris) but its deffo great if you up for seeing stockholm and the gamla! more »
