Art Museum · Hidden Gem · Park
The former home of Prince Eugen, Prins Eugens Waldemarsudde today represents one of the most popular art museums in Sweden. The state acquired the property after Prince Eugen's death. It includes the gallery and mansion, built by Ferdinand Boberg in 1905, as well as the old house and linseed mill, built in the 1780s. Tour the museum's exhibitions, with paintings by Prince Eugen and pieces from his personal collection. Walk through the estate's parkland for views of old oak trees, the harbor, and sculptures from French and Swedish artists. • Even if you don't visit the museum you can still enjoy the nature and have a fika surrounded by water.  more »
  • Nice to get a glimpse of Scandinavian style architecture from the ferry before we docked in Stockholm.  more »

  • Beautiful museum with art, garden and royal history. However, I would say that it is not a suitable museum for children. Also it costs a lot to enter and you can visit better museum’s for free in Stockholm
  • A large gallery with an impressive collection of paintings from some of the more notable and influencial scandanavian artists. The venue operates on multiple levels across different buildings connected by an underground corridor, the old house and a more modern space. The place is air conditioned which is a of welcome relief in the middle of July. A great place to spend some time, will definitely call in again.
