The permanent exhibition includes pieces from Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso, and Andy Warhol, among other notable artists and their Swedish contemporaries. The museum has been recognized for supporting and presenting the works of up-and-coming talent, as well. Since opening in 1958, it has been a center for modern film, photography, painting, sculpture, and other installations.     Good and informative museum, and entrance was FREE (except the special exhibitions). The museum wasn't too big, but had really good information on the majority of artwork displayed. There wasn't as much modern art that's not two dimensional (such as sculpture, installation or mixed media), but the collection displayed was quite interesting and had a clear chronological narrative. The adjacent Architecture and Design museum was also spectacular.
