The building housing the museum was built in the 17th century to produce and store artillery weapons. Explore the three floors of exhibits, where you'll learn about mercenaries, crime and punishment, and animals in war. The site depicts Swedish history from the 16th century onwards, including the modern state of neutrality, and includes an impressive collection of artifacts amassed by Swedish soldiers during war, such as flags, banners, and musical instruments. The onsite library features texts on uniforms, weapons, and conscription. Take a guided tour or use an audio headset.     Never back again! Typical Swedish biased historical approach, no information, just slogans. Please make sure your kids are aware of real history in other way.  more »

    Wonderful place to visit. Lot many things about history, weaponry used in the past, uniforms, tools used and many guns that are from 1800. Demonstration was good and people will find much time to roam around. Will get to know about coins, currency, etc. Kids will definitely love this place. Have lockers to keep out personal belongings.

    Nice museum. Interesting topics. All texts are translated to English. Audioguide with app (bring your own headphones). Learn about the history of war and about Sweden. And all for free.
