Trip Planner: Europe / Spain / Andalucia / Province of Seville / Seville / Museo Palacio de la Condesa de Lebrija
Decorated with pieces of other buildings and artwork from all over the world, Museo Palacio de la Condesa de Lebrija is one of the finest houses in Seville. Some of the tiles used to piece together the many mosaics were retrieved from an abandoned convent, and a coffered ceiling and a frieze were reclaimed from a 16th-century palace. Although it is commonly called a palace, the building was actually once the residence of a countess, not a king or queen. Countess Lebrija collected the artifacts that are displayed on the ground floor. Guided tours of the upper rooms showcase ornamented walls and furniture. These take place daily and can be booked the day of your visit. Make Museo Palacio de la Condesa de Lebrija a centerpiece of your Seville vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Seville online trip itinerary maker.

We really liked this place. We walked by several times then decided to go in. The mosaics were fantastic and we loved seeing the house itself. Wonderful rooms. It’s great the family comes back every..... more »
Fantastic! A gem among all of the extraordinary buildings and collections in Seville. Guadalupe, who runs the place, is charming and well-informed, too. The Countess (died at 87 in 1999 when the house was opened to the public) had exceptional good taste and willingness to put her rare collection of art (Moorish, Spanish and, above all, Roman) first. Even redesigning rooms to house the items better (like perfectly preserved ancient Roman mosaic floors). Must not be missed while visiting Seville!
A bit of a time capsule. For people whom appreciate seeing the possessions of a collector. Very unique. The mosaics and ornamentation are built into the architecture of the home. Unfortunate that photography isn’t allowed upstairs. It would be nice to share those images.
