Isla de Tabarca, Santa Pola

#1 of 24 in Things to do in Santa Pola
Island · Nature / Park
An island populated by low houses, Isla de Tabarca was declared a marine reserve in 1986. Boats leaving Alicante, Santa Pola, and Torrevieja transport tourists to the island throughout the year, making more frequent trips during the summer months. The seafood restaurants in the fishing village draw visitors to their fresh fish delicacies. The tallest buildings on the islet are the church and the lighthouse, both worth a visit during your stay on the 1,750 m (5,741 ft) strip of land. Bring your binoculars for bird-watching and your camera to preserve peaceful panoramic views over the water.
