Despite its somewhat unassuming appearance, the ceiling and dome of Royal Chapel of St. Anthony of La Florida are painted with striking frescoes by Francisco de Goya. After viewing the portrayals of miracles performed by St. Anthony, pay your respects to the great artist himself: His remains came to the chapel 91 years after his death in 1919. If you speak Spanish, informative panels tell the chapel’s history and explain Goya’s frescoes.
