Must see · Cave · Nature / Park
Explore Coves de Sant Josep, the longest navigable underground river in Europe. Enter into the depths of the earth on a small boat, and view the natural formations as you duck your head under rocks and enjoy the soft music and lighting in the cave. You'll have the chance to explore on foot as well before heading back to the entrance. Portable recordings are available in English to explain what you are seeing. There are also cafes and small shops near the entrance. This attraction is not for the claustrophobic, as you will be going through small, dark areas, sometimes with low ceilings. • Visited the caves while staying locally with family. Really enjoyed the visit & found it interesting despite the commentary being in Spanish.  more »
  • Loved the ride on the boat, the caves were very nice. It's a pity the whole tour was in Spanish and no one asked about our comprehension.. then we got into a different boat and people insisted we get out in Spanish even though we didn't understand them and no one explained that we needed to get back into the same boat. Overall money well spent. Spoiler alert: There's a lovely little 'concert' at in the cave dome towards the end, with a light show.
  • Something different and interesting to do on a vacation. You go through the caves on small boats that hold about 15 people. There are parts of the tour where you get off of the boat and walk around. YOU CAN'T TAKE ANY PICTURES OR VIDEO, they're strict about that. It's a good experience and my wife and I liked it. It can feel very claustrophobic on certain parts of the tour. The tour is quick, around 45 minutes.
