  A visit to Basilica de Santa Maria is a must if your in Elche... The bell tower is just amazing!!!! The €2 administration fee is a bargain. The 270 or so spiral staircase is not for everyone, it gets....  more »

  Every year,since old age, inhabitants are producing a show in this church in memory of Saint Mary for August 15 date.This tradition is explained in a city museum located nearby the church.  more »

  The church is quite tricky to find due to all the alleys you need to go through. Inside the church is very captivating! If you're in the area, it's something you can add on your list to see.

  13th August was the annual festival, after a great day out at Rio Safari park we had a short drive to Elche town centre and walked to the towns square. About 11.00 pm the fireworks start and keep going for just under an hour, just be warned it's loud and relentless. A good experience and worth a visit
