Dive into natural turquoise pools surrounded by tropical flowers at Fuentes del Algar, a verdant natural park known for its spectacular waterfalls. Along the 1.5 km (.9 mi) circuit, you can traverse a sun-dappled riverbed, get a shower under waterfalls, and leap from wooden diving boards into refreshing blue swimming holes shaded by lush vegetation. The stone path and steps can be slippery, so bring water sandals with grip. Fuentes del Algar reviews

I will recommend anyone is around this area to go and visit Fonta de l’Algar , is lovely and feels nice to walk around, very well look after and safe. In summer must be great to jump in the water... more »
A good place to visit for a few hours. It is very touristy and the area consists of the falls and river and a number of restaurants and souvenir shops. You have to drive to reach this. Car parking is chargeable but not too expensive at about 5 euros per car. It’s a fairly steep walk to the entrance on a wooden walk way. Entry is 5 euros an adult. There are paths but not really suitable for push chairs and there are some really steep stairs. Even in mid Sept it was pretty busy. The first area is where the water falls are. They are a bit hidden from view. Apart from lockers at the entry you have to leave stuff on the paths or the few seating areas. If you continue up there are lots of bathing areas. Water is cold but crystal clear, with a few fishes. You definitely need flip flops or similar shoes as the paths are dirt and stone and the bottom of the river bed is pebbles and rocks. There is a plunge pool but it was really busy so we didn’t try this! Great place for an Instagram photo !!
This is a lovely place to visit. €5 per adult €2 per child, you can spend the entire day enjoying the falls. Be warned, this is fresh mountain water and COLD! In July and August its great for relief from the heat but be warned, this is also the busiest time to visit. Rock shoes are a must. There are several deep areas for jumping in (if you are brave). In the winter dogs are allowed. Picnics are allowed but there is a restaurant at the entrance plus several in the village. Parking is €5 per day in the summer. Recommended.
