Balcon del Mediterraneo, Benidorm

#12 of 205 in Things to do in Benidorm
Landmark · Hidden Gem · Tourist Spot
Balcon del Mediterraneo, also known as the Benidorm overlook, divides two beaches and offers a great view over the sea. Only a few meters from the rock, a geyser shoots a jet of water up into the sky. Imagine the castle of centuries past, which sat atop this rock defending against Arab pirate attacks for 300 years. Take a seat on one of the many benches and appreciate the sights. Not far from the shore lies an uninhabited island you can admire from the overlook. • On our weekend visit, we was blessed with good weather. Due to covid, not many people about so easy to see the sights. Glass panels in the floor now to see the old castle ruins. Excellent.  more »
  • It is beautiful here. Luckily I have been here before as at the moment it is not open to public due to some construction I think. But still enough to area to enjoy the views.
