Very nice nature reserve with plenty of interesting flora and fauna. There is a guided nature appreciation walk every month where you can learn about the reserve. You can register through the national parks website for the walk and it’s free of cost. The trek has some steep paths and has plenty of monkeys. Do not carry plastics as it affects the environment and most likely will be snatched by the monkey. The visitors center is well maintained and informative. The facilities and toilets are good as well.

If you want a quick and effective workout then that's the place. Also there are several trail including cycling trail which leads to other parks like Diary farms and all. It's an amazing experience to go to the summit in the wee hours. It's neither crowded not lonely. Just the right atmosphere.

At this ASEAN Heritage Park, visitors can climb up Singapore’s tallest hill of 163m and snap a commemorative photo by the summit stone. Enjoy picturesque views from the lookout point at the far end of the trail. Bukit Timah Nature Reserve is the second ASEAN Heritage Park here after Sungei Buloh Nature Reserve. One of the largest patches of primary forest in Singapore, it is home to 840 species of flowering plants and over 500 species of fauna, including thorny rattans, the Singapore freshwater crab and Sunda pangolin. The reserve is also where visitors can climb Singapore’s tallest hill, which stands at 163m - and commemorate reaching its peak with a group shot by the summit stone. Also not to be missed is the spectacular quarry views from the lookout point at the far end of the trail. The reserve’s ASEAN Heritage Park status was conferred by Ministers of Environment of ASEAN member states on conserved areas of particular biodiversity importance.
