  • It is a privately owned museum. The entry fee of SR25 is reasonable. The museum is not very large and mostly consists of models of old times Makkah and Madinah. Unfortunately, the space is rather crowded. They provide a guide free of cost who describes each exhibit in other languages which is nice and helpful. All the writings in the museum is in Arabic language which makes it hard for non-Arabs to read any information directly. The guide is proficient at the script provided to him but does not appear to have an In-depth knowledge. Another odd thing is that they provide you with shoe covers to walk in the museum which is nice and helpful to keep the museum clean but is an additional hassle for the visitors. Parking is plenty outside the museum which is helpful if you are using your own car. All in all, if you like to visit museums this is a reasonable choice given the dearth of museums in this part of the world.
  • It has a great collection of artifacts and the guides have extensive knowledge. Our guide spoke in Urdu. He knew a lot about islamic history and heritage. There were English guides and Arabic guides as well. But it is very crowded during the weekend. Also there is very little space to walk. I do not suggest going with children as my daughters didn't have space to walk. I couldn't move my stroller. This museum is a great option for adults to truly understand Islam and its history.
