Nevsky Prospekt, St. Petersburg

Not flexible for their talking skills; they only talk russian. would not reccomend for tourists as the hotels suck here And people often steal here. But the city has free WiFi though so that deserves 3 stars.

Nevsky Prospekt is the most famous street in St. Petersburg. Originally planned by Peter the Great as a road linking St. Petersburg to Novgorod and eventually onward to Moscow, this is a nice place to spend time sightseeing and dining. These days you will find important sightseeing along (or near) Nevsky Prospekt including the Hermitage and Kazan Cathedral as well as delightful early 20th century Art Nouveau buildings such as the Singer Building and the Yeliseyev Food Hall building. There are a number of smaller church buildings along Nevsky Prospekt and side streets leading to other impressive sightseeing such as the Russian Museum and the iconic Saviour of the Spilled Blood church. Along Nevsky Prospekt you will also find interesting and impressive monuments as well as plenty of souvenir shopping, eateries, coffee shops and bars. During our visit in early July, we enjoyed going out very early in the morning (2.30-3.00am) to walk along Nevsky Prospekt. Taking advantage of the White Nights and lack of crowds in the early hours of the day, we enjoyed taking unobstructed photographs of the monumental buildings. In the end, there is a good chance you'll end up on Nevsky Prospekt at some point during your visit to St. Petersburg. With a bit of research on what is available to do/see in the area, you can easily enjoy a few hours to a half day here.
