Dedicated to the Great Patriotic War, Glory monument presents numerous commemorative statues, military objects, and a site with an eternal flame. Covering almost 2 hectares (5 acres) of land, this National Heritage Site was brought to life by prominent Russian sculptors and architects. View 10 m (33 ft) pillars that depict scenes of war, and pylons with over 30,000 names of the city's fallen soldiers. Look for four chests containing the earth from battlefields, located on top of a hill between the pillars. One striking site--the grieving mother monument--sits above the eternal flame.     Definitely a place of note to visit in the city. If on the weekend I recommend visiting early to avoid the kids on their bikes. At the other end of the park are some ww2 military pieces of equipment.....  more »

    As always, a city in Russia has a huge WW2 monument. As I visited soldiers were protecting the eternal flame.  more »

    While the restoration is underway, but it is already clear that the result will be worthy. I hope that after the restoration there will be a playground for sports (vorkaut), as a lot of people are engaged in running, yoga, stretching, etc. in the park

    I came with the child for a walk, and here is a global repair. Dust to the sky, mountains of earth and sand, construction equipment everywhere. I understand that the park is made better and more beautiful. But why is there no information about the reconstruction of the park? I am a guest of Novosibirsk and knew nothing about the repair, wasted my time.
