A collection of crown jewels makes Armoury Chamber one of Moscow's most popular tourist attractions. Part of the city's centrally located World Heritage Site, this museum houses 15,000 royal dresses, including those worn by the Empress Elizabeth during her coronation ceremonies. Other highlights include a pair of Peter the Great's boots, numerous royal carriages and sledges, and a lavish throne studded with over 800 diamonds. Be sure to visit the upstairs galleries, which contain a vast collection of silver artworks produced between the 12th and 17th centuries, as well as 10 world-famous Easter eggs made by celebrated jeweler Faberge. Ease your journey through Russian art history with an audio guide, available at the on-site ticket office. For travelers who use our world travel planner, Moscow holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Armoury Chamber and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

Armoury Chamber reviews
Best is a privat tour. The collection is amazing. Take your time and at least 2 hours. Visit the diamond collection as well and the churches in Kremlin. After over to the red square more »
You should book tickets on line for peak time visits as numbers are limited, but beware that you still have to exchange the on-line voucher for a ticket and that still means queuing up with everyone..... more »
I would say this is the best place to visit in Kremlin and in Moscow. The collections here are self explanatory and describes the luxurious living of Czars. This is basically a Museum, named as Armoury chamber, since it was an armoury chamber many years before. Be ready to witness huge waiting lines to get the tickets. Better book online or come 30mins early before the opening time to get the tickets
A classy museum! Major part of the collection comes from Russia but many interesting items are also from Persia, India, Turkey, Germany and Sweden.
