Lambaré is a city in Central Department, Paraguay, part of the Gran Asunción metropolitan area. With a population of approximately 140,000 inhabitants, it is the sixth-most populous city in the country.HistoryLambaré was founded by Carlos Murphy in 1766. After the independence of Paraguay, its creation was formalized by Law No. 791, of June 5, 1962. The decree of the formation of the new municipality was signed by the dictatorship of Alfredo Stroessner.
