  • What a fantastic experience we had with Outdoorlife Norway on our Sunrise Hike to Preikestolen! Our guide, Hilde, picked us up at the allocated time and we started our drive to the starting point. My husband and I are very chatty, and even at 2am, Hilde was happy to chat to us. Hiking through the night is a unique experience, one that I’d never had before. There’s something so peaceful about hiking through the mountains in the early hours when the world is still asleep, and listening to it wake up as you walk. When we got up to Preikestolen, there were clouds everywhere. While we didn’t get the view, the mist created an atmosphere of its own, and was incredibly beautiful none-the-less. The hot blackcurrent juice at the top was soul-warming, and the walk back down felt like a completely new experience as we were seeing everything for the first time. Hilde was a fantastic guide, and we’ll definitely be going back to try and catch that view :)
  • This was such an unreal and amazing trip to Kjeragbolten and have such an awesome guide made it that much better! It started with an early morning pickup from my hotel by Johannes. The hike is about 2 hours away and having the pickup was a big plus. Johannes was a cool guy with lots of knowledge of the area and Norway. He let us get some Zzzs in before we got to the base of the mountain. Once there he checked our gear to make sure we were good to go. You definitely want to make sure you have the right gear for this trip. The weather can be cruel and punishing and you don't want to freeze or hike soaked from the rain. Johannes went over safety and what to expect from the hike. From the start this hike is tough not a walk in the park. As we hiked Johannes would check on us to make sure we were good. It was about 3 hours up to the rock. Once we got there Johannes went over the proper way to get on the rock. After some awesome pics and light lunch with a delicious drink he had brought along we started our decent. It was just as tough going down. I felt safe having Johannes there helping and sharing some great knowledge/tips. If you want a memorable experience with a professional I really recommend hiring Outdoor Life Norway for your hikes. It has been an experience of a lifetime and I can't thank Johannes and his company for providing such a time.
