We have been there in a Sunday afternoon and the entrance was free. I was surprised haw many items are displayed in this museum. The visit was very interesting because there are tones of information displayed and the items are displayed in a very logic order. If you want to read everything, all the information about every item, you need about 4 or 5 hours, at least, but if you just want to see, than 1 hour and 30 minutes is enough. There are some items you can climb on them especially on anti aircraft canons. For the kids... its awesome! (I let the "kid from me" to enjoy the visit and it was fantastic!!!)

This museum provides a very in depth look at how the Norwegian forces have served the country and the world. There is plenty to read and tons of artifacts. If you are a hard core military history buff, you will love it and should dedicate about 4 hours or more. If you have more casual history interests, it's still a good visit and you should allocate about 1 and half hours.
