Lyse Abbey or Saint Mary's Abbey, Lyse (Norwegian: Lyse kloster, Lyse Mariakloster) is a now-ruined Cistercian monastery in Bjørnafjorden Municipality in Vestland county in south-western Norway. The name "Lyse" is derived from Lysefjorden near which the building stood. It's a magical place well worth visiting and a small detour on the way from Stavanger to Bergen. A bit flawed reconstructions but still a wonderful place and great experience - especially at dusk or dawn
Small but very nice ruins to look at. You felt amazed by the stones and was thinking how was it was before
