  • An interesting and typical stave church, but it’s too bad the young guides did not feel like explaining anything, especially not in English and simply ignored us. There are many more stage churches...  more »
  • One of the largest stave church in Norway. The oldest part was from around 1158. The church has a great collection of arts from Eggert Munch, a far relatives of Edvard Munch.  more »
  • This is probably the best example of an old Norwegian wooden church dating from around 1100CE, with various additions over the years. It's a rare opportunity to see such a thing, but it will cost you 80NOK to go inside (some concessions available).
  • Beautiful wooden church surrounded by mountains. It has a well care cemetery around. You have to pay to visit the inside.
