Set in a peaceful and spacious landscape covered with pastures, Maihaugen Open-Air Museum introduces tourists to a Norwegian rural community's way of life that has endured 300 years. The museum features over 200 buildings, including a typical Norwegian household, a wooden farmhouse, a parsonage, a classroom, and a lumber camp. Walk through the residential area lined with family houses and cozy courtyards, and watch costumed living-history staff recreate scenes from everyday life during the period between the two world wars.
