Geiranger Fjord
Part of Norway's network of glacial inlets and mountainous crevasses, Geiranger Fjord represents one of the country's most popular sights on the World Heritage List. Visit the fjord, stretching 15 km (9.3 mi), and explore the rugged landscape that characterizes the area. While several small villages dot the region, here the surrounding mountains plunge almost directly into the sea, making most habitation impossible. Join a sightseeing boat tour to get a view of the mountains as well as an up-close look at the fjord's system of waterfalls. You can also climb your way up to one of the fjord's viewpoints for sweeping panoramas of jagged peaks, forested slopes, and the twisting waterway itself. Inspirock's itinerary builder makes planning a Geiranger trip simple and quick.
