This was one of the absolute best days of our three week trip through Australia and New Zealand. This tour company is spectacular for a few reasons. The size of the tour group is very small - 12 to 16 people, so it’s very intimate. The bus and boat ride are breathtaking. But most of all, our tour guide Terry was incredible. He is so passionate about fiordland and so personable and knowledgeable. The entire tour is sprinkled with interesting facts and wonderful stories of the area. We wanted to stay just to hang out with Terry for a few more days! We went on a rainy day, so our expectations were low and thought the day would be a bust but this wasn’t the case at all. The rain made the one million waterfalls we saw even more spectacular and the hikes were even more gorgeous from the fog and glistening ferns and lichen. Don’t think twice about it, just book this tour. I wish I could give it more stars!
We've booked directly via Fiordland Tours our trip to Milford sounds. Communication and booking was pretty fast. Pickup worked liked a charm . Our tour guide (a German lady living since quite some while in NZ) was quite fun, open minded and provided us from the beginning with lots of information. Trip to Milford included a few stops at lovely scenes. We've been transported in a small group (just 10 people) which I enjoyed most. Ship was not too large but still provided enough space to move. On our way back, we stopped for a coffee at a superb peaceful place (forget the name). So all in all - it was more than wort the money, enjoyed the day really although I don't even like organised tours in general. This one was fantastic.
