Langtang Ri was founded in 1991 as a small family business at a time when trekking and touring in Nepal was in its infancy and catering mainly to the truly adventurous traveller. The company as evolved over the decades as the industry has matured. Langtang Ri is now recognised as one of the pioneers and leaders of hard and soft adventure travel and tours in the Himalaya region.

The company is based in Kathmandu, Nepal, and owned by the Dhamala family under the direction of Managing Director Mrs Pamfa Dhamala.
