Protecting the city from invaders since 1638, Ft. St. Louis treats you to views over Fort de France's bay as well as the city itself. Built from rock, the fort still serves as a naval base and remains listed as a historic site of France. Head inside to find old relics such as cannonballs, or outside to find iguanas surrounding the building. It is thought that they arrived from Guyana or neighboring countries. Visitors can head inside the fort only via a guided tour. Ask Inspirock to suggest an itinerary and make planning a trip to Fort-de-France fast, fun, and easy.

  • Lovely Cathedral. Quite a unique structure. Well worth visiting. Nice to sit and contemplate. In a nice area. Park with cafes nearby. Check it out on Wikipedia
  • It's a cathedral. But its interesting to go in for a second and observe how different its feeling and atmosphere is from the european ones even though it has the same structure and similar artwork.
