    free entry, including a little art exhibit on the side. this museum is small but well- made. good gift shop with interesting books, and 1920s style bathing suits!  more »

    The Jūrmala City Museum tells the story of Jūrmala's beginnings as a holiday resort, and how it developed from the end of the 19th century until today. Upstairs, during our visit there were 30 different exhibitions with paintings, sculptures and photographs. Very interesting to learn about the background that created the seaside resort.
