Take part in one of the most iconic scenes in Tokyo by joining the crowds through Shibuya Crossing, an enormous bustling intersection outside Shibuya station. Flanked by illuminated skyscrapers on each corner, the intersection buzzes with organized chaos as pedestrians cross in every direction at once. Watch the hypnotic movement of the crowds from afar--ideally from the windows of one of the surrounding buildings--before diving into the packed but orderly masses yourself. Seeing this world-renown street really was everything I expected it to be. Tons and tons of lights, people everywhere, and plenty of spots to film and take pictures. The Starbucks of course is the... more »

You have to go to Shibuya crossing and see it while you are in Tokyo. It's an amazing sight and just to walk around under the neon lights is enchanting and crazy. It was fun and amusing seeing the crosswalks of Shibuya it was like four crosswalks interacting with one another. So many people. Amazing thing is that Japanese are so quiet. In subway at the crossings it was like seeing a movie in Mute. People there are so polite you can't even talk on the phone in public/subways since it may annoy your neighbor's.

The most famous and iconic crossing in Japan and possibly the world I guess. Surprisingly despite the massive crowd is still orderly and fairly quiet. Odd ain't it but it's a direct reflection of the Japanese culture which I find amazing. Best view of the crossing would be to find higher ground and for that the Starbucks window spots are killer but the waiting time itself is a killer hence I decided to be down there at the crossing to feel d experience directly.
