  Nice walk from Varenna. It is steep sometimes but you can take your time. Little terrace at the entrance for lunch, coffee and ice cream. Not many tables so we were happy it was quiet the day we...  more »

  Birds of prey cramped in small, dingy cages and only let out for entertainment purposes where they are tethered on a tiny lawn.  more »

  3 - 4 Euro for entry. But it's more than worthy, you will see many birds and breathtaking views of lake Como and many towns and villages. You can climb to the top of Vezio castle a enjoy even better views. Everything is clean and bright here. 💯 recommend.

  We hiked up from town and had a great experience. Both routes are amazing, but difficult if you are not reasonably in shape. The route that starts from the parking garage and up the road is much more unstable, with lots of rocks - but great views and walking through a olive grove. The other route is still steep, but is a very good, wide, cobblestone path. The Castle itself is small, but very interesting.
